Adi Turns 7

There is no denying that he is officially a big boy. Attending a real number grade, has homework, can build lego sets himself, wants to look good if his 'girlfriends' will be present, and is quickly mastering almost every video game he forces us to download on our iPhones. The challenge with his Dec 21 date is technically we need to plan 3 birthdays. The first with all his school friends before everyone leaves for holiday. And luckily for this it was an easy repeat of last year hosting all his classmates at Maxi Kids right next to his school. The kids can run, play and destroy at hearts content with the staff in charge of monitoring and cleaning up. We just need to provide the food and kids and everything takes care of itself.

The second is that same evening once we get home to have more cake and open presents with Pranvera's family. Quite nice to have his cousins come around and a chance for us all to wish one another a happy holiday and festive New Year before I boarded the plane the next morning (6am) to fly to the States.

And finally a small acknowledgement of his actual day with cupcakes from Aunt Stacey and Grandpa and a day of play at the Magic House (see Xmas blog). As anyone with young boys knows most of his presents were Lego's which magically keep him focused for hours assembling them as quickly as possible and then playing late into the evening. The problem and blessing with our quick departure this year was we left most of these unopened but have been a blessing since our return to Kosovo as the freezing weather and heavy snow has kept us inside for days on end.
