Adrian's First Birthday Party

What a perfect excuse to have 20 of your closest friends over for some holiday cheer, a home-made frog cake and a bunch of kids playing with his new toys (ok, a couple of adults as well). He added more toys to his collection as well as some great clothes for the winter. Although he was more interested in a cup and folk, he was a good sport and acted like he knew the presents were for him. I was partial to the remote controlled car I got him so I could play the sirens and drive it all around him. Great fun till he grabs a hold of it and tosses it across the room.

Christmas Tree Farm

Well this year we joined our friends the Schads to cut down a fresh Christmas tree. Unfortunately the tree wasn't for us this year as our little one year old would have had so much fun trying to pull it down. Not to mention we will actually be at my sisters place in LA for Christmas which does have a tree but 5 adults to tag-team pulling him away from climbing it or grabbing for the ornaments.

Day Trip to Baltimore

Over the long holiday weekend we decided to get outside DC and explore our sister city Baltimore. To both our surprise we had a wonderful adventure visiting Fort McHenry where the American troops defeated the British in a battle that inspired The Star Spangled Banner. Unfortunately it was one of the windiest days they have had so we had to expedite our visit around the grounds.

We found a local, nearby watering hole to have a wonderfully fresh lunch before we headed into the inner harbor to explore the nationally recognized Aquarium. Absolutely top notch and Adrian even enjoyed all the fish. Almost as much as Pranvera, especially during the live dolphin show. The day was topped off by a restful stay at the Barnes and Noble Starbucks loaded with tons of magazines for us to flip through while Adrian napped. He was an amazing sport the entire day considering the amount of new sights we experienced. And all this just a half hour away...

Oh, did we mention he is walking???? as well as tackling us????

Thanksgiving with the Kaiser's in DC

We were fortunate enough to spend the feast with our closest friends in DC Andrew and Emily. Adrian was the star of the show as he showed off his ability to walk across the kitchen, climb up and down the step several dozen times and eat almost anything we put on his plate.
