Touring Maputo

After a week away from the family we decided to have a city adventure, Adi style. Since arriving a month ago, we had yet to really explore the capital of Mozambique that we now call home. And it so happens that the Maputo City Tour is conducted on the cheesiest looking tourist magnet you can imagine: a train trolley. If it is wasn’t for our two year old we never would have considering shelling out $22/person for a two hour drive around the city. But his excitement completely justified the expense and unwanted attention. We visited many of the main attractions, oldest train station in Africa, marketplace, city parks, and drive by the ocean. It was nice to hear a bit about the history, meet some of the other visitors to Maputo and be able to hop on and off to walk around different section. Amazing how having a child has you doing the very things you once made fun of with others.
