Round II: Blizzard in DC

My third day off from work and don't expect to go tomorrow either. Getting another foot or so today with blizzard winds and almost 0 visibility. No one is outside today. Nothing is open. Only metro is running underground between key stations every half hour.

But as you can see yesterday we took advantage of the beautiful snow conditions that have blanketed us here. It was almost warm out so we headed down to the 'Mall' to see the city and ventured into a Barnes & Noble to eat lunch, have our Starbucks and read for a couple hours. Adrian slept virtually the entire time and was especially complacent at the store. Not before resting a couple hours did we venture out with him as the snow fall hit us again. We met good friends of ours at a nice neighborhood eatery for some good southern cooking. A bit more of a challenge logistically since we had to protect him from the snow fall with my scarf bundled around the baby bjorn and Pranvera carrying the car seat for him to sit in. A fun adventure out again with NO cars and just a couple crazy cabin fevered individuals wandering about. It was so quiet and peaceful.
